If you buy my book...

...and you want a little illustrator-autographed thingy to stick in the front, just drop me an email and I'll send you one, free. People have been asking me to do this (people who aren't close enough for me to sign the book in person!) so I'm just putting it out there. And flogging the book. Which I did not write but I did illustrate. Which is now IN STOCK at Amazon, and hopefully I will have some copies of my own by next week! And despite what Amazon's listing says, it's a bilingual English/Spanish edition (side-by-side English and Spanish pages), not solely Spanish. We keep telling them to fix that in the listing, they keep not fixing it.

That's my shameless plug for today. And if you have any clout with any Canadian bookstore or book distributor and feel like asking them to stock this book, Kate and I would be really happy since so far, it's not for sale in our own country! You can ask your library to buy it too. The Ottawa library refused. I may have to donate a copy to them. My local Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry library system is way more excited about it and is having me in to do a talk/reading this fall. Our local library system is great, and I especially love the Lancaster library and super-librarian Leni.

Now go watch the Wee Chickies video.

Katie of the Sonoran Desert, written by Kate Jackson, illustrated by Natalie Rowe, stunning book design by Terry Moody, published by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Press.
