Look at this brave little soul, poking its head up from between our paving-stone pathway. That gravelly stuff is EcoTraction, an environmentally-friendly, pet-safe salt-substitute. We started using it this year and I really like it, and it's no threat to our well-water. (And no, that wasn't a paid plug. I mention it because I'm so pleased with it!)
I heard on CBC radio today that Canada has had the warmest, driest winter in six decades. But the meterologist also said that she predicts a big winter storm on March 22nd. Let's see if she's right. Let's hope she's not!
It's a real pleasure to see this intrepid little flower blooming so early in the spring. It's an escapee (seed) from the planter boxes on our front deck.
Spring: so, so close!

Oh so pretty! I'm always amazed at the fortitude of such delicate little flowers. Thanks for brightening the evening here.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteNice to know there is such a neat salt substitute.
ReplyDeleteLove the burst of sunshine from the sweet little flower.
Aaaaaaaaaaah......!
ReplyDeleteAh, those tiny harbingers.
ReplyDeleteAnd the beautiful spring weather continues! It's a miracle!
ReplyDeletePretty pansy! We have croci in bloom. But March came in like a lamb and you know what that means. So let's just enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteOut like a kittycat? (She says hopefully!)
