Errol in pencil

I am working on some art ideas for our art show this November (click here to see last year's show!) I started a sketch of the rooster Errol Flynn. We'll see where all this ends up!

  5. Excellent work, I knew you did graphic design work, but hadn't equated it with that quality of freehand work. You probably published more of your own work in the past, before I joined your blog.

Are you familiar with the work of E. Hunt? Errol could fit right into one of his wonderful old paintings.

  7. Musical Gardener, my favourite thing is drawing with coloured pencils (like in the kids' book I illustrated.) I want to spend more time drawing and less time doing graphic design! I was not familiar with E. Hunt so I did a Google search. LOVE the chicken paintings!

  8. I am working on a mixed media felt/pen-and-ink idea I got from an issue of Cloth Paper Scissors.

Very nice! I never thought of chickens as beautiful until you opened my eyes, Natalie.
