I was cleaning out the spare room closet the other day and found this pic from our honeymoon, 1993. We spent ten blissful weeks touring around southeast Asia (Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.) This pic was taken when we went elephant trekking in Thailand. It was in the days before digital cameras. A German couple took photos of us, we took photos of them, and we mailed copies to each other when we got back home!
We thought we were so old but I was 29 and Gordon was 25!!
And that is today's blast from the past.
So, you've been a cradle-robbing cougar for some time now? hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteMy secret it out. Oh, the shame!! But younger men are OH-so-trainable! (See previous toast post.) HAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteAs you know, now, age is totally irrelephant. As long as you both pack your life trunk with tusk in each other, and plenty of jumbo sized nuts for the trek, you'll weather any spray with good mastodon humor. Keep stomping, friends. We enjoy the tales!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Knat. I couldn't resist!
ReplyDeleteI notice that your elephant had no seat belts and no rear lights. Was it from Budget Rent An Elephant?
ReplyDeleteA ten week honeymoon, how wonderful! I love the photograph.
ReplyDeleteAwww... so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Digital cameras have changed the world though, haven't they?
ReplyDeleteHappy memories!
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteClaude, that is great advice for life!
ReplyDeleteOwl WOod, it was some cheap Asian knock-off! ;)
ReplyDeleteElaine, it was so great. Gordon had just finished law school and I had quit my job, because we moved from Montreal to Toronto a week before the wedding. He was due to start his articling until the fall, so off we went. It was just so fabulous. :)
