Not long now!

Ladies and gentlemen, hens and roosters, the HEN HAIKU CONTEST is in its dying hours. Enter now before it's too late! We're going to have a judging party soon, so it might take a few weeks before you get the final results, but it will be SO worth the wait!

In the meantime, here's a photo of one of my other girls on a rock just outside her hive entrance:

Hmmm, maybe next we need a HONEYBEE HAIKU contest!

  1. Honey, dear sweet Bee,
Quick! Go to the next flower...
    Rocks don't give honey!

  2. Anonymous9:30 am

Wow. Beautiful detail on your pretty girl. You must have a great camera, Natalie!

  3. Bring on the bee haiku!

    A mellifera
    The males are superfluous
    female workers rise!

  4. Love it,Claude! My first entry for the next contest.

LBM, not to mention any excuse for a cake by Ronna!

Cog Dis, I'm thinking my little Canon Elph is going to take slightly less impressive photos after today, when Sophie jumped up and licked the lens!!!

Jams, that is absolutely splendid. These really need to be in a book. You are the haiku master!

Thank you for all your comments, which I love to read!
