The new kids!

Our new (and first!) rooster, Errol Flynn. He's a Plymouth Barred Rock.

As you can see, he likes Gordon's shoulder!

Some of them have names now. That's Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire on the left (because of her hair-do!) Tina Turner is the big white one. Big hair, lots of attitude, absolutely fabulous! She is at the top of the pecking order right now.

The little brownish one on the rear right is Buttercup II, to replace Buttercup I (named by a nine-year-old girl) who this year met a tragic end, likely in the jaws of a coyote!

The one in front is The Pigeonator for now, until I come up with a better name.

The handsome and debonair swash-buckling Errol!

This one REALLY needs a name and I'm working on it!

Love the new chickies! I cleaned all the shavings out of their waterer, not to worry, and they now have a nice chicken tractor to hang out in during the daytime.

  5. I think the last one looks like Marie Antoinette. But I like Phyllis Diller, too, now that I've read it. What fun, naming chickens! And I love your choices - Errol Flynn the rooster. tee hee

  7. Thanks all! Fran, we have christened that brown one Phyllis Diller, but I have growing suspicions that "Phill" may be more appropriate!

    Love "Lady Gaga" too!
