Frozen turkey

We've been having quite the snowstorm since yesterday. First snow, then freezing rain (all the trees are coated with ice),then back to snow. The turkeys showed up outside my office window this morning, all blanketed in white:

Frozen turkeys!

  1. I can't believe all the snow on your turkeys! You aptly named them 'frozen turkey!"

Oh poor things. They are impressive though. I hope their feathers give them at least a little warmth....hopefully a lot of warmth.

  5. Like you, we have an over abundance of turkeys here at work. The turkeys believe they own the area, they don't move for NOBODY! Anyway, the turkeys are protected by some NY state law, and can't be killed. I guess their numbers had dropped too low. BUT now, they are flourishing! And The Lab is investigating getting the OK to "reduce" their numbers! The Lab has gotten the OK to reduce the number of Canadian Geese that live here. The Lab is looking into the getting the OK to "reduce" the number of deer that live here. Now the Turkeys! WHERE WILL IT END! I've already voiced my opinion on the killings of the local animals. We took their land, let nature run it's course. But, we have "men" here who believe the rifle or the bow and arrow, are an extension of their penis and want a "controlled" hunt. Right. Who will be next on their hit list?

  7. If you start posting up recipes with turkey in it, I'll know where you got your meat.

The butternut squash soup looks great.
