Emerson finally has a friend!
It's Honey the failed barn cat (bottom!)
That's Emerson on the left.
The house cats tend to pick on poor Emerson, but in Honey he has found a true friend...
...and a dirty ear to wash.
VERY thoroughly!
Ooooo, grabbing her with his paw! This means business.
Lick lick lick
And now it's a two-paw job!
Honey top, Emerson bottom.
Maybe they love each other because they look so much alike! What do you think?
Omg, they are so cute together... and they look exactly the same. You're right, maybe that's why they are such great friends.... who knows.
ReplyDeleteWe might have another Ed and Lily here. True love.
ReplyDeleteI think you may be right! They have found each other.
DeleteA match made in heaven!

Two bottom of the order kitties bonding. We had up the three cats in our small house, and it was OK until we acquired up to three grandchildren and literally scrabbled for cat box stations. Common sense said no departed cat is replaced until a cat bedroom frees up. And so it is. I feel so bad for Toby, the black and white, last cat standing. He and Ryon were ear licking buddies, and ever since Ryon left, Toby pines for ear licking. He licks my hand and tries to show me how to do his ear. But then he remembers bird TV and wanders off.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you tell them apart!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. It's good to two two creatures who get along so well together. All our cats hated each other.
ReplyDeleteThey are so adorable together!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that Emerson checked out the barn cats and found Honey. They look so very sweet together.
ReplyDeleteI can only have one cat - my little round Megs "Doesn't Like Cats, not Any of them, not Ever". Humans are great fun but other cats not ever.. Her predecessor, Zebby Cat, was scared of all other cats. Emerson and Honey are so fortunate to have found each other.
Sending care and huggles from Wellington, New Zealand,
Michelle (and purry head-butts from Megs)
Twin souls no doubt! I see why Honey has been so persistent. She was trying to hook up with her soul mate all along. It's really so sweet how much alike they look. Maybe they feel they really get each other! Adorable... I'm so pleased for them both. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeleteI am In Love!!!!
have a delicious weekend!
How romantic! I'm glad Emerson has found a buddy.
ReplyDeleteYour pics of Emerson and Honey remind me so much of our Jack (now passed) and Tux. They were siblings and this is how they spent their days too... curled up together. Generally Jack did all the cleaning. He even cleaned all Tux's whiskers off. It's so strange now that Jack is gone that Tux actually has whiskers again. So happy that Emerson and Honey are together!
ReplyDeleteCute photos ! They are both lovely looking cats ! Glad they are buddies ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good weekend and Happy Valentine's day !
ReplyDeleteThat is one impressive cat bed to hold that much gingery goodness
ReplyDeleteawww - it is good to have friends :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Our inside cat will lick our Chihuahua's ears like that. Until the cat sneaks in a little nip. Then game over!
ReplyDeleteThis just warms my heart! I am SO glad Emerson has a friend! They do look alike.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just listened to your podcast! Loved it. I wish you had been able to tell the Greek cats' story too. Great interview, though. Yay!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet--just in time for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteDoes Honey still visit her siblings in the barn?
whatever it is, Honey was bound and determined to make her way into the house...maybe because of Emerson? It is true love for sure.
ReplyDeleteAww...they are so adorable together! They definitely look alike.
ReplyDeleteThose two were meant to be together. The photos are heart-melting!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that barn cat failure turned out to be a great success. Some things are just meant to be.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and adorable :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, kitty lurv! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteAwww so sweet for Valentines day. Makes us so happy to see Emerson and Honey being such good friends.
ReplyDeleteThose kitties are so sweet and just belong together. Gosh I've missed so many of your posts but have enjoyed catching up! Those blueberry pancakes must have been delicious. A late happy birthday, and happy Valentine's Day to you both!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best news! Every cat deserves a special kitty friend. They're a new Ed and Lily in the making. We love it!
