Call the OSPCA! Because tonight I humiliated my cats...
Yes, it's the dreaded KITTY CHRISTMAS CAP! And before you go turning me in, they were only wearing the hat for about ten seconds per cat. Well, Alex started sauntering around the kitchen in his, so he extended his torture completely of his own volition.
Emily was briefly distracted by the Christmas Pickle. It's an ornament shaped, not surprisingly, like a pickle, that you hide in the Christmas tree. The first child to find it on Christmas morning gets an extra prezzie from Santa, or some sort of good luck.
One year we threw the pickle out with the tree, it was so well camouflaged. Fortunately I realized it was missing before the tree could be whisked off to the woodchipper.
And here's the senior kitty-cap victim....
Julius is struggling to retain a shred of dignity. And plotting his revenge.
Alex spent all his time trying to shake off his hideous headwear.
"Alex! Alex!! WHat have they done to you!!??"
Don't worry, Naomi...
You're next.
I fully expect to have my eyes gouged out as I sleep tonight...
And that you will. Oh, the shame.
ReplyDeleteEven with the chin strap, confess. Super glue is also involved!
ReplyDeleteWe use the dogs as hat wearers. Our Freddie would even get close to one.
ReplyDeleteLol, Naomi says it all!
ReplyDeleteMy old cat might be too lazy to take it off, but it wouldn't last two seconds on the little Maeve's head!
ReplyDeleteMany, many, many years ago I got a photo of my mother's Pekingese with a Santa cap on and a cigarette in her mouth. Wish I had a copy of it now. Thanks for the fun.
ReplyDeleteSleep with one eye open.
ReplyDeleteJane x
If looks could kill then you are in big trouble knat!
ReplyDeleteOh boy. Are your slippers ever going to be full of cat-poop tomorrow morning!
ReplyDeleteIt's been nice knowing you!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to get a half-masticated mouse barfed on you at 3 a.m....
ReplyDeleteI am so screwed....
DeleteYep, you're in trouble..
ReplyDeletethe look on their faces, especially the orange guy ...priceless :)
ReplyDeleteThat final photo is priceless!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a glass pickle. It's one of the ornaments we gave away before we moved here. Too bad I never knew that tradition!
O, the humiliation!
