Your cat fix, with a sprinkling of dogs!

Whole lotta couch-cuteness going on last night...

I call Emily's post "the maggot position." Not that that's a very cute name for it, and she IS very cute. Alex is her three-legged bookend on the left.

Julius loves to squash down my nice new couch cushions... sigh. We put an attractive wrought iron gate across the doorway to keep the cats out. Julius is the only one who has been smart enough to figure out how to scramble over it. He has always been a very clever cat!

Alex likes Emily, but his heart still belongs to Naomi.

Okay, dogs for you dog-lovers out there (Owl Wood, Cro Magnon, and Stephen C!)...

Tristan was mellowing out on his cushy inflatable bed.

Sophie was relaxing nearby. The poor honey was sick on Monday. During the night, she threw up several times in my office and also left us other malodorous gifts of the stoop-and-scoop variety. She ended up sleeping all day, and finally had a little food at suppertime. I don't know she got into that made her so sick, but it's the first time I've ever seen her refuse food. She didn't even want her daily toast crust from my breakfast! But by Tuesday, she was back to normal, jonesing for her crusts and growling at the cats as per usual.

But back to the felines. How cute is this?

Alex gave Emily a little bath while she slept.

And what do I see here?

Yes, yes, it's... BOLOGNA TONGUE!!!

Squeeeeeeeeee!

Alex preferred that I stop taking those damn flash photos and let him get back to his nap.

Emily woke up and gave me the evil eye too...

...then went back to sleep.

And here's a nice shot of her regal profile!

And Julius, who is now 12, hanging out under my desk.

I'll try to give Naomi some blog time soon!

And that's your Thursday cat fix, with a sprinkling of dog.

  7. Could that cat be any more soundly asleep? Some perverse part of my nature always wants to tease them when they sleep. I also want to squeeze babies. I hold myself back from the later. Good for you for standing up for Malala! ~ Maureen

  15. Your cats are beautiful! Love the regal profile. Is that an Etsy bed she is in? How does she like it. I have been tempted to get one of those but Watson loves his bed that he has.

Glad to hear Sophie is back to her normal self. So sad when dogs are sick.

    1. It is an Etsy bed, one of those knitted then felted ones! Emily seems to love it best, but all the cats have been in it.

I'm glad Sophie made a quick recovery. Phew!!

  16. No wonder I want my next life to be as a cat. And I hope you'll open the door when you hear a scratch and a meow. Those four furry balls can teach anyone the right way to relax and enjoy life.
