My buddy Ronna and I drove out Thursday for another visit with Deb from Just Cats. We also met her friend Susan, who has a blog too!
Me, Susan, Ronna and Deb! I stole this from Deb's blog.
We had a lovely lunch at a sweet place called The Robin's Nest Tea room. That got us all primed and ready for some excellent Christmas shopping in the lovely town of Almonte.
It's always wonderful to visit Deb, who is so generous and hospital. I love seeing her five cats, too, and her hubby is not too shabby either! ;)
Deb always sends Ronna and me home with goodies. I got some Christmas prezzies and this lovely pumpkin loaf baked by Deb:
A little butter and...
GONE!
I left my bag of presents on my desk when I got home Thursday evening. Not the smartest idea. Naomi decided to unwrap her own gift...
Can't really blame her, given that it was filled with high-quality catnip!
So cute. It currently sits sopping-wet on my kitchen table, where Emily dragged it and set about licking it to death!
Thank you Deb and Susan for a wonderful visit. Bloggy friends are the best!
PS: Thanks for all the votes for Alex in the OSPCA iAdopt contest. Keep 'em coming, please! Here's the link. Alex is down towards the bottom of the page. If you click on his photo, you can read his adoption story. :)
I like the picture of the four of us. It was a fun day. I cannot believe how fast that afternoon went. That is one big picture of my pumpkin loaf. haha! Almost scarey. Glad you enjoyed it. It is one of our favorite and Kane loves it, too. I was just looking through the recipes in the book from your animal shelter. There are some really good ones in there. I will be testing a few and let you know how they turned out. I guess I should have warned you about the cat-nip. Good for Naomi...she waits for no one.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you after Christmas again if you can brave the wintery weather. Maybe bring the guys. Hugs, Deb
I would like to get back sooner rather than later!! I found the catnip toy down in the basement, totally mauled. :)

DeleteNothing much better than good friends...:) For sure, those were Belgians on the new Header. We had taken the Grands for a wagon ride at a local apple orchard. Everybody was impressed with their size, power and handsome looks! Oh and they got to pet them too.
