Animal men, that is!
The ever-adorable Tristan, enjoying the fall sun.
Errol Flynn, rooster-crowing champion!
Cock-a-doodle-doo, baby!
McGuinty the dashing Chantecler gentleman.
Watson, showing his stuff to a drake. Watson has crowed, thus I was safely able to name him (after Barbara Lardon's cat, Watson. If you haven't checked out her beautiful art quilts, visit her blog and Etsy shop. We are amassing a collection of her work and may have to add a special wing to our house for her quilts!)
Watson is one beautiful roo!
mr flynn like his namesake is one beautiful boy
ReplyDeleteHe deigns to thank you! He's such a nice, mellow rooster.
DeleteDo they fight? I had to go after a pair of cock pheasants with an umbrella the other day..
ReplyDeleteThe roosters are pretty good. Occasionally they have a go at each other, but nothing serious. I expected to have to rehome some of them, but so far they've been quite peaceable!
DeleteSWOON!

Yours is the only non-food blog that I follow. That's meant to be a compliment. I just love your animals.
ReplyDeleteI take it as a big compliment! Always happy to see you comment here, Stephen. :)
DeleteYou haven't done anything on chickens for a while! I like the bees best.
ReplyDeleteThe bees are shutting down for winter but I'll see if I can get some more pics before the snow flies!
DeleteWatson really is a beautiful roo! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteI think his Daddy is Beaker, because they share some colouring, but Watson's even more flamboyant!
DeleteWhat a beautiful smile from Tristan! The cocks are very handsome. I've never seen another one as colourful as Watson.
ReplyDeleteHe is so beautiful in the sun. Very iridescent!
DeleteYour Errol Flynn is the spitting image of our (late) Big Business. BB was a nasty fellow who used to attack my daughter when she was small. The 'Coq au vin' was delicious.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not much else you can do when they start attacking the humans! So far I've got all my roos under control and I hope it stays that way. They are good boys!
DeleteI Love Watson, especially when he is giving the what for ... brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteHe runs all over the place. Wild thing!
DeleteLovely photos on the men att the farm.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Thank you Elna!
