Took some snaps with my iPhone while lounging about last night. Okay, not the greatest quality photography, but the cats were enjoying our new couch! Six pets and two humans in one room: pretty impressive.
Naomi is giving Emily a bath!
And after a bath, a nap!
Alex and his two harlots, one of whom is apparently possessed by demons!
Julius is at the other end of the sectional, well away from the feline riff-raff.
Zzzzzzz...
Zzzzzz....
Zzzzzz....
Zzzzz.... yep. I killed Gordon on our run last night! ;)
You go girl. I think the cat's are impressed with the couch.
ReplyDeleteYes, are putting a gate in the door so that they can't sink their claws into it 24/7! :)
DeleteEven when demonically possessed, Emily is adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say, she OFTEN seems demonically possessed!
DeleteSo. Where do YOU sit? The floor?
ReplyDeleteSUrprisingly there is room for us if we huddle together in a ball in the corner!
DeleteThose silly doggie pictures are as cute as the kitties!
ReplyDeleteTHe dogs are definitely the goofs of the family!
DeleteBoth the dog and Alex could be ours.... spitting image.
ReplyDeleteNice to know they have doppelgangers across the pond!
DeleteIt's nice to see the peaceful kingdom of cats and dog--way to go outlasting the hubby!
ReplyDeleteOccasionally the dogs snark at the cats, especially Emily and Julius, but nothing serious. Generally they know that the cats are boss and they need to bow down!
DeleteHubby is four years younger than me and has no excuse, ha ha ha!
A purrfect evening. I was wondering.... how does that couch material withstand the feline claws?
ReplyDeleteNot bad but we are shutting them out of the room when we're not in it, so we can keep the scratching down a bit. I keep all their claws trimmed, which does help!
DeleteWhat cozy images. Everyone is tired * smile *.
ReplyDeleteHugs
All we needed was a warm fire!
DeleteIt's a dog's life. And a cat's. But Julius does have his claws out. I fear for your sofa.
ReplyDeleteMe too! He's the only one whose claws I can't trim. Well, maybe if I put him in a cat straitjacket...
DeleteSweet set of pics. Glad to see that Gordon is a muti use husband... lawyer and pillow!
ReplyDeleteHe has oh-so-many uses! Cleaner of the litterboxes, too!
DeleteI got a smart phone. My granddaughter makes it work for me.
ReplyDeleteAren't youngsters great? Pretty soon I'm going to regret not having had children to help me with my failing elderly brain... ;)))
DeleteIs there something in the air up there?
ReplyDeleteJane x
Apparently!!
DeleteToo bad about Gordon, at least you have some lovely animals to keep you company. Fun photos. Thanks for the moth i.d.!

On the word verification - heard on CBC that in fact when you get those bits of silly words (not the numbers and words - they really are ridiculous) that you are working on helping transcribe books. And, of course because it was on the CBC, it must be true - otherwise it's just a nice Santa type story that makes me feel better about typing more letters in order to post a comment.
ReplyDeletePerfect example of a feline takeover of the best spot in the house, the dogs just trying to maintain their space and the humans take refuge outside. Nice couch, by the way.

Those two snuggly pets at the end (with the very unusual blue fur) are adorable. Oh, and the others, too!
ReplyDeleteLove that sofa... But it's already taken. I would fit in well with the dogs.
ReplyDeleteDo you think I could race Gordon with my walker? Just kidding Gordon! :)
I love your blog!
