What cats really say to each other....

"What in the name of Bastet* is that rank odour coming off you, Alex?"

"Pffft. I smell like a daisy!"

"Yeah, a daisy that was removed from the maggot-infested stomach of a rotting, liquified skunk corpse!"

"Pffft! My breath and I are minty-fresh. See? SMELL!"

 "Mother of Mackerel!"

"What? What now, Emily? Can't you see I'm trying to nap here?"

"I detect undertones of dog!"

"What? You most assuredly do not! I am utterly insulted."

"Eeeyuw!"

"Eeeeeeyuw!"

  3. In that second photo, it looks like Alex is guffawing at a joke at Emily's expense.

  9. If cats could talk ... imagine how many more would be homeless after insulting their humans. ; )

I'm sure a similar conversation between Sophie and Tristan would go something like, "Dear Tristan, that most interesting odor emanating from your butt is terribly divine. Like partially digested duck poop and raw cow guts. Mmm mmm! Let me get closer for a better whiff ..."

And yes, perhaps better that cats DON'T talk.

  10. So that's what they say to each other! I am so glad you have translated this dialogue for us simian inferiors, so we can understand the refined feline dialectic.

I wasn't sure if I left a comment or if I just thought I did. These days I can never be too sure. : )
