Some dog action!

But first, some cats...

Do you think Emily the kitten will fit in there?

Lynn from Razzberry Corner wanted some photos of the dogs enjoying the snow, so I am happy to oblige! We took the dogs snowshoeing yesterday. They both LOVE the snow...

Sophie loves to roll in it or just slide along it!

Tristan following the snowshoe trail through the field.

Sophie and her bundled-up daddy!

She always seems to have snow on her nose these days.

Late afternoon winter sun.

Maybe she saw a snowshoe hare! There are lots in our woodlot. Sophie chased one once but had no hope in hell of catching it.

We are trying to figure out what animal scratched up this tree. Skunk? Porcupine?

Sophie is dying to kiss my face. She loves to do that when I crouch down.

She loves a good butt-scratch!

The sun low over the back pasture.

The path through the woodlot.

Intrepid Canadian.

Tristan.

He stood under this snowy bough for a long time.

Then he sat down!

Nobody here but us dogs!

Sophie does this a lot. She loves to stick her head in the snow!

I'll see if I can get a kitten picture up later today!

    1. THank you Deb! I LOVE the woodlot. I would have been in heaven had I had that as a child.

  2. They are handsome... almost as handsome as the cats. The pics prove that only Mad dogs and Canadians go out in the Winter sun!

    1. This farm is about 150-odd years old. It was 126 acres, but the former owner (who sold it out of the family for the first time when it was sold to us) severed off 40 acres at the back across the river, for their new home. 86 acres is plenty!

  6. That does look like fun in the snow. We love to play in the snow. The cats are hysterical picking their feet way up. The dogs sure look like they are enjoying it. What fun. Love seeing pictures of your farm. Have a terrific Tues.

    1. Sandra, this has actually been a mild, low-snow winter! We really haven't had a big whopper of a storm yet. Maybe we won't! I would like some more snow for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

  8. Your property is so stunning, and that snow... well let's just say I'm jealous of your dog. Lol! I've never seen snow like that before. Not ever. It looks so beautiful.

    1. Kristin, I just love it but a lot of my fellow Canadians don't. :) I get through winter by putting on warm clothes, going outside and enjoying it. I love the air and the light at this time of year.
