Miss Louise is doing fine!

My friend Deb over at Just Cats has what I call "centrepiece cats." Now we do too!

Hello, Louise!

Is that banana bed comfortable?

I guess so!

Louise is fitting in really well. Emily's nose has been a little out of joint, but she seems to have recovered. We now have four cats sleeping on our bed every night! (Julius always sleeps in the family room.) Good thing we have a king-size mattress.

We lolled around a bit on Saturday morning and Louise joined us. As my friends said, Louise is a real "iCat"!

She loved her iPad tent!

She didn't seem to mind one bit that Gordon was using it to surf the web.

Isn't Louise a beauty? Her fur is so soft!

She's a sweet little thing but she will be the boss of the house, if she isn't already. Naomi occasionally slaps some manners into her, but she's pretty fearless. She has the funniest little scratchy meow. Maybe it's a grey cat thing. Our old cat Mashka, who was grey, also had a funny meow!

Louise purrs a LOT. She seems quite content.

I think she wants her own iPhone!

Louise, no one would EVER know you were under there!

  1. She's a doll! And Rocky is like that too - he'll lay on anything, no matter how pointy. He loves to lay on my keys!

    2. I have no idea, but he seeks them out and lays on them constantly. Maybe he thinks if he's laying on them, I can't find them, and won't go anywhere, so I'm home to pet him.

  5. Funny, Audrey has a very unique voice, too. Almost siamese-like. Love the photos. She looks so happy and content. '5 comfy cats'. Audrey is now requesting a banana bed but I told her she had to spell 'banana' first. Might be awhile. Hope you had a great weekend. I am so freakin' tired today I can't see straight. :-b Deb

  6. "I'm a banana. No, wait, I'm a cat on bananas!" I love little box faces on cats, and Louise has done it to perfection.

  7. Louise is adorable! Looks like she definitely fits right in. And as for the funny voice thing... our gray cat, Ghost, also has the strangest cry. She never made a sound for years, but now she makes this weird cry on occasion that sounds like she's strangling...

    1. MY grey cat Mashka used to do that (weird strangling cry)!! Once we swore she was meowing Gordon's name!

  16. Louise is all very fine and well, but it's the tartan pyjamas (or pajamas) that dominate the photos for me. You can take the old DNA out of Scotland but you can't take the Scotland out of the old DNA?

    2. I think you misunderstand Knatolee... Cherie surely means that Gordon is sooo cute in his tartan/pajamas. There is no doubt in my mind about who steals the show here.

  21. What a sweetie!!! I am so jealous - we got another rescue as well, end of August, and my gang are still hissy and growly to the new one. You'd think we adopted a house-hippo or something. Sheesh! Anyway, Louise is just gorgeous - lucky you!
