Sophie says our cats have been getting too much blog-time lately, and she wants her moment in the sun.
"Uh oh. I think there's a cat behind you!"
"Never mind. It went away!"
Sophie is nine years old and mostly yellow Lab. She was born on a farm and adopted by another family, along with Tristan, before both dogs came to us at age 5 as the result of a family tragedy. Sophie is extremely sensitive, loyal, obedient, and wants to please. She is my heart dog and I love her to bits, even though she has become a little too diligent with the alarm barking lately. "Someone's here! SOMEONE'S HERE! Barkbarkbarkbark! Somebody just drove up!"
"Oh wait, it's just Daddy. Never mind!"
She's a good girl and bilingual! She understands commands in French AND English.
I love you, my Sophie!
Oh Sophie, aren't you a happy looking girl. I bet that was hard for you to move away from your first family but we have to say, you sure landed in a great place. What a super life you have now.We sure are glad you were on the blog today. Have a super Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSHe's a good old girl! :)
DeleteShe is so cute and have beautiful eyes. Have a nice sunday.
ReplyDeleteHugs
You too, Elna!
DeleteHi there Sophie !
ReplyDeleteOf course a cute dog like you shall have some blogtime too :)
We all know cats are better, but everyone once in a while, we have to let the dogs on the blog! ;)
DeleteI find Kane barks more now, too. The slightest noise in the direction of the front door and he's off on a tangent. I love the face of an older dog. So kind looking. "Hi Sophie, you sweetie"
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it coincides with hearing loss, or if they are just more hyper-aroused to everything? I love old doggy faces too!
DeleteShe's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. SHe loves nothing more than a good butt scratch.
DeleteShe is a sweetie with those kind eyes and beautiful grey muzzle. Young dogs are great fun, but older dogs win my vote and my heart.
ReplyDeleteThey just don't live long enough!!! ANd since we got these two when they were already five years old, the senior years have come on much too quickly for us.
DeleteI so want to kiss the top of Sophie's head...would you do it for me, please?
ReplyDeleteJane x
Done!!
DeleteI would take her anytime. For one hour would be great. For life would be better!
ReplyDelete:)))
DeleteShe is so so sweet! I agree, she needs more blog time:)
ReplyDeleteI will work on that, Sandra!
DeleteShe is cute. If I had land like you do I would love a couple of Labradors
ReplyDeleteA tired dog is a good dog! It's great that we can give them so much exercise here.
DeleteShe has the kindest eyes.
ReplyDeleteI love her soft brown eyes!
DeleteSophie and my Wendy could be sisters. Wendy is terribly camera-shy but I will attempt to get a photo for you soon. Hugs, nb
ReplyDeleteWendy landed in clover at your place!
DeleteHer loyal and kind personality comes through those photos. I love dogs! Love the photos of Tristan too.
ReplyDeleteShe reminds me of my first dog, Chelsea. Loyal beyond belief!
DeleteShe has such a sweet face! I want to hug her! And then give her a treat.
ReplyDeleteShe would love that. Her current fixation is the crust off my morning toast. She comes tearing in from outside in the morning and sits next to my chair, waiting for me to give her some crust. She's trained me well!
