The goats asked for some air time on the blog, so I am here to oblige them!
Peek-a-boo, Bambi!
Supper time!
Geoff enjoying his hay
Bambi, Daphne and Geneviève
When Bambi arrived, I was told she was pregnant. This photo is deceiving; she actually looks hugely pregnant to me right now, but I think she may just be getting fat. It's over two months since she arrived and her udder is unchanged. That said, the girls are probably ALL pregnant now because the two randy bucks were at it while we were in Ireland. They will be neutered shortly!
And Mimi is home!
Her spay went great and my vet said she purrs so much, he had a hard time listening to her heart.
She spent one night in the barn and is, er, now in our guest bedroom. Purring.
Have a happy Sunday!
The goats look plump and happy!
ReplyDeleteI've read cats purr to soothe themselves. Probably true, but I prefer to think they just mean content.
ReplyDeleteTh goats look very happy! I'm glad Mimi is home and doing great. I love the name, one of my favourite aunt's name is Mimi!
ReplyDeleteGoatlings!!! You are gonna have so much fun...
ReplyDeleteAnd how many is this now--SEVENTEEN cats? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Hello goats
ReplyDeleteI tried to talk my Mom into adopting Mimi because the only thing better than two black cats (hers are both male) is three black cats... but it was no go.. sorry!
ReplyDeleteGoats are spunky little characters and horny too! It must be noisy around your place with the goats.
ReplyDeleteomg they DO look like they are saying hello! lol

Those goats are adorable and I see they're earning their keep by "mowing" the grass. Glad your kitty is doing well. My girls hated the cone collar and wouldn't wear it;-(
ReplyDeleteCreepiest.
ReplyDeleteEyes.
EVAR!
love these happy goats !!! Gail x
ReplyDeleteThanks! I needed you and your kids today.
ReplyDeleteI think goat gestation would be the same as sheep--about five months...so keep an eye on her--it's early yet. Usually udders don't change until close to when they have their lambs (or kids)--then they usually plump out and in sheep the pink udders and girly parts get really pink. . If she becomes really sunken in in front of her hip bones that is a good sign too. Something to do with the ligaments too around their tail but I can't remember for sure on goats. I'm glad Mimi came through her surgery well! Sweet little girl deserves a life of love and care and thankfully you are there to see to it! :-)
ReplyDeleteTake care
Tammy
Baby goats are the cutest things EVER! That will be so fun.
ReplyDeleteGlad Mimi is doing well. I have a few that purr loudly....they rumble the walls! haha.
I love goats. They always seem so happy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe if you start calling the house the barn, and the barn the house, you can trick the cats into bedding down where you intended!
ReplyDeleteI spent a lot of time around goats when I was a kid. No pun intended. If not for the fresh goats milk I may not have grown up very big and strong.
