Poor Mootie...
Yesterday she went in for a hernia repair, and the vet discovered that whoever did her spay hadn't done a good job. At some point after the spay, the internal stitches opened up! :( So she has been living with that for who knows how long. She also had an extra-long spay incision that made the vet wonder if she had kittens when it was done. Anyway, she's all fixed up and came home with medication and a cone.
She ripped the cone off twice, then I got out my comfier cone. This morning, I found it here...
I think this was a statement. My friend Deb suggested trying a onesie on her, so I asked Gordon to pick one or two up.
So of course he brought me ten. Because, you know, MAN-THINK! If one is good, ten are better!
We decided Mootie looks good in this colour!
SHe doesn't seem to mind it so far. Here's hoping it stays that way!
Appropriately, the graphic on the front shows a mouse in a hot air balloon!
Get well soon, Mootie!
Poor Mootie I hope she feels better soon :-)
ReplyDeleteHow funny--I guess he thought Mootie would need to wear those onesies a very long time :)
ReplyDeleteWe're glad Mootie did so well in surgery and hope she'll feel great soon.
I had to laugh at Mootie's expression. She looks royally ticked by the whole thing. But she's ADORABLE in her onesie!
ReplyDeleteOh that face, Natalie. Do you think she prefers it to the cone? Lots of cats use them to avoid licking the stitches and they don't walk into walls in one. :) I think Gordon was thinking that , like any female, she'd want a fresh, new outfit every morning. :) Hope she does ok with it. Sending a hug, Deb
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Mootie looks adorable! The cone in the litter box is definitely a statement. Very funny! Hoping Mootie is better soon.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Purrrrs for Mootie. We hate the cone too!

ReplyDeleteIngenius!
ReplyDeleteMootie, we're praying that you feel comfortable and pain free. You look absolutely lovely in your onesie. And bless your dad's heart. He wanted to be sure that you always have a change ready to keep your surgical site clean and free from contamination. Not many fellows would have such forethought.
