So many cats, so little time...
Louise continues to favour the cooktop as her favourite post-supper resting place.
Sigh.
My satanic little cat, amongst the chicken paraphernalia! Usually there is a nice Oaxacan handpainted wooden chicken where she's sitting, but she knocked it over, so I took it away.
She should be down on that buffet (left) with the cat collection! My friend Ronna painted that "Meow!" bowl.
Butter wouldn't melt.
Meanwhile, across the room we have still more cat/chicken action!
Deb at Just Cats gave me that GREAT rooster doorstep. Alas, Julius has no respect for it, and performs his up-close-and-personal ablutions right in its beak!
And over on my desk...
...Emily and my whacked-out tape dispenser enjoy the afternoon sun, making it difficult for me actually to use my desk.
As does this. The bird-watching feline fanatics!
And oh look! Can you spot Louise's new snoozing place?
Very nice. Shouldn't be long before that folk-art pig from Nova Scotia is on the floor.
Louise is EVERYWHERE...
Attempting to go incognito. Good luck with that!
My buddy Eugene gave me that old framed photo of a cat in a window. He has a treasure-trove of old goodies in his man-cave. I wonder where the photo came from? The little carved sleeping cat next to Louise is from York, England. I picked it up on my last trip there.
"Oh hello!"
I love her pointy little fangs. She is TROUBLE!!
There's your cat compendium for today!
I think you should just let them have the house and you guys move to the barn. It's only right. ;-b
ReplyDeleteWe USED to have nice things about the place. We USED to have interesting objet d'art.
ReplyDeleteNow we have cat beds and cat toys. Welcome to our world!

Delightful post. Lovely photos....beautiful cats.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cats. And they know it. : )
ReplyDeleteLouise has clearly taken over
ReplyDeleteNow that we're down to one creaky old cat, I really enjoy your abundance of felines.
ReplyDeleteBut I am also appreciating old cat's (Satchel) disinterest in table tops and kitchen counters.
When are you going to write a book about them? You sure have enough material to produce a cat bestseller. And I will be your first customer.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Deb--they've taken over the house anyway!
ReplyDeleteSatanic cat caught off guard and revealing her true nature, just for an instant, before the fake friendly furriness was restored. Beware. She can only get worse.
ReplyDeleteSo nice of them to share their house with you...
ReplyDeleteLouise have beautiful sweet eyes!
ReplyDeleteMy cats love the Bird-TV too!
You realize that Louise is just knocking things over in order to make you redecorate the house to her liking right? ;)
ReplyDeleteWith all the cat beds and soft spots cannot understand why the cats, well, some, choose the hard countertops :)
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty babies you have -
ReplyDeleteLove the muffin tin hanging on your wall & Happiest of Birthdays to you!
Quite the collection.... of CATS! Great post!
