Emily the adorable

Little Miss Catitude was being cute on the couch last night, but as I tried to get a picture of her relaxed pose, she yawned...

This is not unlike the look she gave me this morning when I was trimming her claws. She was being good about that but all of a sudden, she's giving me grief. She must be going through adolescence! We will have to trim more often and get her used to it. Julius is the only one of my cats whose claws I can't trim myself (because he goes ballistic!)

And this is much like the look she gave me when I was finished trimming her claws: "I am going to exact my revenge. You don't know where, you don't know when, but it WILL come!"

Good thing she's so cute!

I think both you and the cat got lucky on the cold day when she was abandoned (presumably) near your house. A little bit of human badness that had lovely unintended consequences.

    1. It was magic or something! She has been a ton of fun and livened up the other cats to boot. All the felines seem happier now.. better balanced with four, maybe?

  2. She looks very resolute... I'd sleep with one eye open if I were you:)

  3. So cute! Kudos for being able to trim any claws yourself - Addie is very calm but I still wouldn't do it on my own. In fact, I don't really do it at all: I hold her while Sarah does the clipping. After all, she is the sculptor in our home. :)

    1. Yay Sarah! Gordon won't clip claws either. I started them all young (except for Julius.) I find dog claws more nerve-wracking. I've had my share of bleeders with those over the years!!

  7. Ah.. but she is so stinking cute she could get away with murder. Hide all sharp instruments immediately!

    1. She can and does get away with murder. I especially like it when she's sharpening her claws on the couch and staring at me as I yell at her to stop! ;)

  8. Daring to trim a cat's claws? that's really brave. I hope she goes easy on you :)

    1. I am not foolish enough to try that with Juilus, who goes crazy if you even attempt it!!

    1. We really do! She was a wedding present (we were asked beforehand; we were interested in a reptile pet) in 1993. We celebrate our 19th anniversary next week. I want to have a birthday party for her this year. I think she deserves it!
