Excuse me, I need to brush my teeth now...

While I was getting ready yesterday morning, Naomi came over and settled down in the sink!

"Peek-a-boo!"

(I am stripping the wallpaper in there. Just ignore the sad state of the wall!)

Getting comfy!

Sniffing something interesting.

Hmm, that's a bit of an evil glare!

"Sorry, I'm here to stay. Go brush your teeth somewhere else!"

We spent yesterday helping our friend boil sap down into maple syrup. Photos and story coming soon...

  5. Had some on Sunday at Temples Sugar Shack. Naomi is like my Cali, always sitting in our sink.
I have a question about chickens, Natalie. How long do your chickens lay and what do YOU do with them when they don't lay eggs anymore? Do the type you have live a long time?

  6. Naomi is a cutie-pie. She just wants to be near her Mummy! I thought Alex was the one who liked to strip wallpaper. Did you bring him in to assist you with the bathroom wallpaper, too, in addition to the office wallpaper?

  7. My cat Bert does that! It is so funny! He loves it when we turn the water on too. He sticks his head right under it and drinks it. His head is always soaking when he is done but I dont think he cares!

  8. Elisabeth: And she knows it!!! :)

Paula, she and Alex should set up house together.

LBM, she's good at that evil glare. But I know the secret: it's all an act. Not an evil bone in her body.

Willie, yum, sugar shacks are the best!

Jams, I love that, "Mummy's little hinderer!" Is maple syrup expensive in the UK? Do you get stuff from the US or Canada? My uncle always takes lots back to England when he visits Canada.

  9. Deb, chickens are supposed to slow down their laying after the age of two. But our chickens are here for the long haul. They are pets to us, really, so they'll get to live out their natural days on the farm! I have heard varying reports of how long chickens live, and it can be dependent on breed. I've heard of teenage chickens! And we do have an 18-year-old leopard gecko, so we do well with pet lifespans around here.

  10. Lynn, if I could get Alex to do what I tell him, he would be a great help with wallpaper stripping! Alas, he lacks motivation and dedication...

Garden Girl, isn't that funny that Bert doesn't mind getting his head wet? He's a sweetie!
