Hen of the Week

Every week, I make up a new "Hen of the Week" card to put on the egg cartons that are going out to customers. So far I've done six cards, and I thought you might like to see them! They are greyscale because I churn these things out on my old greyscale Apple LaserWriter 4/600 PS. It is almost 14 years old and it will be a sad day for me when it dies, because it has been a great Postscript printer.

But I digress... enjoy my "Hens of the Week"! Before you start laughing at their names, remember that eight of our eleven chickens were named by sweet children. :)

  1. What a cute idea!
Our chickens all had names - we had Simon and Wayne and Garth (and they were hens) so I wont laugh at your chicken names!

  2. One day, I will nominate you for the Order of Canada. And I will find the right number of people to second the nomination. It is the way it's done, y'know? I was watching part of the ceremony today, and you would deserve it as well as anyone I saw there.

  3. Oooh, those are great chicken names! One of my hens jumped on the back of another hen the other day and went at it... maybe she is transgendered and needs a different name. ;)

Claudia, the Order of Canada... wouldn't that be nice? Thank you!

  4. I love Henrietta's sense of confidence. She is not ashamed to boast: I lay WHOPPERS!
    No wallflower here! Love it!
