The Glengarry Pioneer Museum

I love this little gem, the Glengarry Pioneer Museum. When my friends visited in July, we took them there. Here are a few shots...

"A penny saved from a barber shop is a penny saved and a penny got!"

Wonder what my British parents would have thought of this?

Pig iron?

And if you're in the area, be sure to check out the Glengarry Wood Fair at the Pioneer Museum, August 29 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It's about an hour or so from Ottawa or Montreal or Cornwall. A lot of work has gone into organizing it, and it's going to be awesome!

Today we're off to the Williamstown Fair. Stay tuned!

don't quite get the logic behind the barbershop thing but it's very cute.

what was the time frame of the british citizen thing? was it early 19thC/late 18th? maybe that was written by a "loyalist" fleeing the rebel newly formed united states!

anyway i love those kinds of museums! sounds like you're having a fun weekend.
