The cats have demanded airtime!

Sorry for the lack of posts! I've been busy, exhausted, and am still cleaning up from Homes with Woofs, which was such a great success.

The cats have told me they are tired of goats and puppies getting more time on the blog than them, so I promised them that today, there would be a cat-only blog post!

Archie doesn't seem to know how to relax! ;)

Thank you, Daisy and Mootie. I will now be re-washing that black coat!

Speaking of black...

...have I mentioned lately how much I adore Mimi?

She is the sweetest cat EVER. Not a mean bone in her body.

Plus she's gorgeous and I love having a house-panther!

Meanwhile...

Naomi and Alex are appalled by Daisy's presence on our bed.

And I used to think a king-size bed was plenty big! BAHAHAHAHAHA!

But as long as the cats are happy (particularly Daisy!) then I'm happy.

Speaking of Daisy...

...she sure knows how to  clog up a cat tunnel!

And yesterday, we had 180 bales of hay delivered. There's $1080 gone for about three months' worth of hay (this cost a bit more because they delivered it and unloaded it!) Hay is going to be expensive this year because we have been in a slight drought. They think they may not even get a second cut of hay. Last year, some people got three cuts of hay!

Missy LOVES it when there's a hay delivery...

Queen of all she surveys!

Meanwhile, Archie's sister Annuk has mastered the art of kitty relaxation...

...and did I say this post would be all cats?

I lied! :) Monty is doing great.

  1. Love all the photos! Mimi reminds me of my late Himalayan, Neferkitty. You could pet the hide off of her and she would still come back for more. I couldn't read a newspaper without her standing on the other side, batting at it until I put it down so she could be petted.

    1. Awwwww, yes! I really think Missy should be a house cat. At the very least, she can be my granary cat when the renos are finished in there. She is very sweet. Your Neferkitty was one of a kind, though!

    1. Yeah, to think two years ago I had only indoor cats, and only five of them. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh dear.....

  6. I think that Morty will have to learn how to"meow"...to be part of the cat family. How is he doing with the cats?...still giving them chase? My, my, he is the most hugable guy!...

    1. He is improving! I think he just wants to play with them like a puppy does. Yesterday He was lying next to me and Buttercup walked right up to us, and he was very good (although I did have a hand on his collar!)

  7. You MUST post cats more often. I forgot completely about Mimi. :( What a beauty she is. They all look so content, Natalie. "Hi Monty".

  9. Love the kitty posts (and the goat and puppy posts too). Every one looks so content...except perhaps Naomi and Archie. I'm sure they'll decide there is enough room for Daisy too.

  11. Wonderful photos Natalie! We upsized to a Queen size bed because our cat Sam liked to sleep between the two of us. The bed seems so large now since Sam passed. :(

  14. Natalie, your cats are beautiful. And I love the pic of the black one. Since most of our ferals are black, our yard looks like a pride of panthers... with little black heads sticking up everywhere. And as for the cats on your bed, I once started a story called "Too many cats in the bed" - this was when we had 8 inside cats. And I have to say again... Monty is one handsome puppy!

  17. Awww your kitties are all so adorable! Archie and Annuk seem to have the similar napping style :-) Missy looks very happy checking out the hay. And that's a lot to explore! Your kitty enclosure looks very similar to ours. Maybe from the same company. Thank you for your visit. I'm so happy to meet you!

  18. Those are terrific photos of the cats (and doggie) made so even better because of the antics of the subjects. Super!

  19. I still wish I could have adopted Archie and Annuk. But they are obviously right at home. And Mootie... oh Mootie has the prettiest eyes.
