I need a new pencil

More Tobago pics coming, but first, a cat intermission!

Evil lurks behind my Mac...

Hi Emily!

Lately she spends an inordinate amount of time attempting to steal my toast right out from me in the morning. She loves any kind of nut butter, not to mention bread. Needless to say, I do not consider this a healthy diet item for my raw-fed cat. That said, I am weak and made the mistake of allowing her to lick a little cashew butter off my finger one day. Now she is an OBSESSED NUT BUTTER JUNKIE!!

But look...

...so pure, so innocent.

"What? I just need the SD&G OSPCA pencil to write out my list for Santa!"

"Mmmmmm!!!"

"I love you, pencil!"

"You look better with all those perforations!"

"EMILY!!!!!"

"Ooops. Buh-bye!"

On a more serious note, our tripod kitty Alex isn't feeling well. He's got dia-poo poo and some vomiting that hasn't improved after 48 hours, so we're taking him to the vet tomorrow. Poor Alex! Please think good thoughts for him.

  1. I hope Alex improves. It's always worrisome to have your kitty suffering. Your Emily reminds me of my 16-year-old Tortie named Tweedy. She may be older since she was a stray who showed up at my daughter's farm years ago. Tweedy has that same sweet face. She doesn't like peanut butter but my Sunny does. I've never had cashew butter but it sounds wonderful!

    1. I never knew cats would have an interest in any kind of nut butter until Emily showed up ! Glad she's not the only one. :)

  2. Sorry to hear about Alex. Hopefully, he has kitty flu and will be back to his normal self soon. That Emily makes me laugh. She really is 'fetching' isn't she.

  3. I'm sorry to hear about Alex and my thoughts are with him on a road to improvement. Emily is a hoot and reminded me of Bailey stealing my pens and pencils while I try to do my crossword puzzle. I'm wondering what she asked Santa for!! XOXO

  4. You have nearly done the impossible: make me think seriously about getting a cat. Well, it can't happen because Peter is allergic to them. Thank goodness.

  9. Is that your toast plate tucked up under? I know how to do that, too. I hope the vet improves Alex.
