Please listen on Wednesday morning!

The pets are going to be faaaaamous! :) A producer from CBC radio saw the Cornwall Standard Freeholder article about me and the pigs, and asked if I would be on CBC Ontario Morning tomorrow! They didn't have to ask twice. I'm more than happy to talk about our wonderful rescue animals and the fantastic Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OSPCA in Cornwall.

I should be on around 6:40 am (give or take; it's live radio) and later in the day, the interview should be up on their website as well. They already have a blurb about us up! When I read it and saw "almost 90 animals" I thought, "That's ridiculous!" but of course it's true. We currently sit at 87! But many of them are ducks and chickens, so it's not like we're entirely crazy. Or so I keep telling myself.

Finney the rescue pony is quite excited too! Time to brush that mane and forelock. Oh wait, it's radio. Nevermind!

Daisy the Greek rescue cat is also excited!

Speaking of cats, for my birthday last month, Gordon made me excellent blueberry pancakes...

Um, I did not hold back on the butter. It was my birthday, after all.

And look!

Honey the failed barn cat "helped" clean up the batter.

Speaking of Greek cats, we are still fundraising to bring the quartet of kitties over from my friend Joan's cat rescue in Greece. They are coming, one way or another, and I believe I've found homes for two of them already. If you would like to help out in any way, read about it here.

And here's one of our sweetest kitties...

Missy! It's really hard to get a picture of her, because she's always in motion. I find she will sit still if I take a selfie with her.

She's an adorable little cat. We took her in from our friends who had too many barn cats. She does a great job of patrolling the barn and is a very pretty little dilute calico.

It has been a long cold winter and it's not over yet. But we're getting some quality snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in. And I've developed a knack for spilling entire buckets of water on myself in the barn. Sigh...

Please listen in tomorrow and cross your fingers I don't make a fool of myself! :)

  4. I could drive up to the studio in Glengarry in an hour or so unless you don't mean the "real" one... Expect I'll have to listen from Strathearn (Scotland) if on web over here. At least I won't have to get up early for it. I look forward to it. Remember to add Gordon to that animal count.

  15. Ditto that, Kari! I would love to see/hear a video of the broadcast. With all this publicity, maybe you and Gordon can get to volunteers to help out with your animals. if the numbers keep increasing, you will eventually need help, yes?
