Why my pets are going to kill me in my sleep!

Sooo, I finally got my Christmas card designed today, and on the back, I featured these lovely photos of all the pets! The hat pics are from last year and have been on the blog before, but the antler pics are new. The pets' Grandma, aka Gordon's Mom, sent us a card with these amazing pet antlers!

The grandpets were clearly overjoyed!

We had to restrain Alex so that he didn't bounce around the kitchen with glee!

Emily oozes disgust, while...

...Julius plots the downfall of humanity and...

...Naomi considers how best to use a kitchen knife when one does not possess opposable thumbs!

Louise, on the other hand...

...took it all surprisingly well!

Tristan refused to cooperate, flopping over every time I put the antler on his head.

Finally I gave up and worked with what I had!

And sweet Sophie...

...obediently endured her humiliation, even though it clearly did not please her!

Meanwhile Alex has vaulted to the second spot in the iAdopt contest. Please keep the votes a-comin'! He's near the end of the page. There are lots of great pet-adoption stories to read!

Have a great weekend. We have a winter storm watch on. The high today was a delightful -18C. Tomorrow it's supposed to be colder with a windchill of -30C. A bit early, given that it's technically still fall, but the house is nice and warm!

  3. Go Alex. Has he questioned coming home with you, since the antler graft?

  4. Tristan is the one that breaks me up! "I'm too tired to fight this nonsense, so I'll just flop over."

  6. Love the antlers! We got some candy canes decorated with very similar antlers, from some kids at the library. They're going on the Christmas tree tomorrow (the candy canes, not the kids!).

  7. P.S. Our dog (a black and brown mixed breed) is named Sophie too.

  8. You do put the poor pest through some degrading antics! Isn't it funny how dogs can look so disgusted with a coat or booties.

  10. Oh how they love it! Ours are the same, they'd sooner take your eyes out that be seen with antlers.

  11. You are in such big trouble with all the animals of the world. Even Herman and Dutch think it`s absolutely degrading!!!!!!

  12. Hilarious! Our cats? Dudo would have been restrained for a photo. Moose would be hiding in the closet; not a chance.

  13. I would be afraid to close my eyes after this =)

  14. I am sometimes tempted to dress up the horses, but it would actually be very easy for them to kill me. I just stick to humiliating the smaller animals and keeping the bedroom door locked at night.
