Two great tastes that taste great together!

No, not a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. It's beer. With chocolate. Stout beer, my very favourite. Chocolate, my other very favourite. It's...

...Double Chocolate Stout!! It's Beerolate. Chocobeer. Chout. Stoutolate. Whatever it is, me like, very much. I don't know what brain trust thought of this, but I am definitely a fan.

And if you grew up in the 70s like I did, you'll remember stuff like this...

  2. Not a big beer fan but could become one with this brand and flavour. LOL
That old commercial was a hoot!

  3. Chocolate with wine is a stretch for me, but you generally demonstrate good taste. I don't tend to think of mole and hops in the same neck of the woods, though. So, if you say so, dearie!

  4. I love a good, thirst-quenching beer, but I can't imagine that beer combined with chocolate would do that. Or am I wrong?

  5. Katnip Lounge, here in Ontario we must buy beer either at the provincial liquors stores (LCBO), or The Beer Store (also run by the provincial government!) Anyway, my hubby found this beer in the LCBO in teeny-tiny Maxville, Ontario, 30 minutes from our house. So I'm thinking you should be able to find it somewhere in the US. If not, demand it! :)

  6. Vanilla Bean, it helps if you like stout to begin with.

Nance, do you ever drink stout? It's sort of chocolatey to begin with, so the combo works. I don't think lager with chocolate would be as good! ;)

Evlyn, hmmm, I often drink Guinness but it's not really for thirst-quenching properties so I think you have a point there. Beer + chocolate = sin, not thirst-quenching. ;)
