Aaaand still more barn cat photos!
A basket of Daisy! The cats aren't pissed off in these photos, by the way. The barn lighting can be a bit dim, which is why their pupils are dilated!
Half in, half out!
Daisy, on top of the world!
Unimpressed when Honey joins her and Redford saunters in.
They like checking out the feral cat shelter we made last year.
Pip snuggled up under the heater.
Redford has discovered the pleasures of the heated mat!
"Do you mind? I'm trying to take a bath here."
Speaking of baths, Redford is more than happy to give Pip a hand. Or a lick.
"Is there somebody behind me?"
Mootie, Queen of the Barn!
And her servant, Pip.
"Oh my cod, Redford has infiltrated my basket!"
"And now Emerson's in our little house!"
Daisy is not amused!
Lots of toasty spots for cats in here. That little greenish house also had a heating pad inside.
Redford actually slapped poor Buttercup off my lap to claim what he considers his rightful place!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
If there is a heaven for cats, it's in your barn. : )
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to second that comment from Agi. You've given them the best of both cat worlds, and I read on a previous post that you keep the barn cats locked in at night. Smart.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the ponies are adorable! I had two growing up (eons ago), used to care for our neighbour's work horse (my first horse soulmate), went to the NSAC in Truro after high school, thinking I'd make a life of working with horses. (That didn't happen.). I miss having ponies/horses in my life, though it's been a very, very long time. Nothing better than the scent of horse, though, IMO. They were and always will be my first love :-) Thank you for giving them a home too!
Peace.
You know, I thought of your comment when I was out with the ponies this afternoon, and I took a good sniff of each of their heads. It is a wonderful scent! :)
DeleteI lived in NS for six years!
such beautiful photos of the kitties
ReplyDeleteI think they love to pose!
DeleteI absolutely love these photos. Have a lovely Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTHanks so much, and you too! :)
DeleteWe wanna live in your barn!
ReplyDeleteI'll set up a heated mat for you! :)
Delete'what a truly wonderful space for your kitties! It has everything they need for entertainment--especially each other. I've often said that there's nothing cats find more fascinating than another cat.
ReplyDeleteThey've been fascinating each other all day long lately! :)
DeleteThey look quite at home ;-)
ReplyDeleteTHey've all settled in better than I'd ever hoped for!
DeleteStill sleepy here. In my robe, looking at kitties. Smiling.
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorite cats was Calvin, a double-pawed orange, so I'm loving your barn shots.
Perfect way to begin my day.
Always happy to see you here! :)
DeleteThey are all beauties and the barn looks like fun for them. Please visit us for a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteDone and thank you! :)
DeleteThat's a barn in name only. Those kitties are living in the lap of luxury as they should.
ReplyDeleteIt's called guilt, hahahaha. As in "Those poor cats, stuck out in the barn!" guilt. Except last night, as Gordon and I sat watching them all play around the box stalls, we decided that overall they are having more fun than the house cats!
DeleteI LOVE cats other than my allergies! Okay, so are there any fights going on in that gang?
ReplyDeleteNope, not a one. It's like the magical kingdom in there or something!! I wish my house cats got along as well as this bunch.
DeleteYou HAVE created heaven on earth. I always know where to go (Knatolee's World) whenever I need my heart to be warmed.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE looking at and reading about your barn cats. They have an amazing setup, and are so fortunate to have you and each other! Loved the news of Daisy's vole.
