Well, I was worried about the new barn cat, Redford, because he hadn't eaten a couple of meals. I'd left out for him. So I set up the wildlife camera in the upstairs barn, and got a photo of this hairy beast:
Exciting, but not quite what I was looking for. However, the next morning, things improved..
HA! Success! Redford came to eat breakfast.
Then of course I saw him again in the afternoon, without the camera, and again today:
What? You can't spot him?
Look for the glowing eyes next to the old toilet!
You can really see his polydactyl front paws here. He is getting braver! He sat there and watched while I put down his food this afternoon.
I sure hope this trend continues. I am dying to pet this cutie.
Oh...he's weakening. I think he is just as interested in you as you him. I'm anxious to stay tuned...
ReplyDeleteRedford's going to make you work had for his attention.
ReplyDeleteI think it's rather nice that he's so aloof; it takes all sorts.
ReplyDeleteHe is a smart cat. I mean, come on, who would trust you with all the "mean" things (nuts come to mind) you have done.:-)
ReplyDeletePoor boy! Don't you just wish he could understand how happy he'd be with your love and affection?! But so glad he's got you to watch out for him.
ReplyDeleteHe's thinking about it...he really is.

Just look at that face! And I love the paws - our last batch of cats were double pawed and I've had a soft spot for them ever since.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should start a pool on how long it will take before he lets you pat him!
I bet you never thought a picture of that toilet would appear on your blog! Redford won't be long coming around.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have him eating out of the palm of your hand in no time!
ReplyDeleteLove these updates. Your blog is my happy thought. : )
ReplyDeleteYou know what they say, the way to a man's (male's) heart is through his stomach.
