Visiting our fluffy baby!

Gordon met Louise today...

As I think you can tell...

They got along swimmingly!

She seems to love being held.

She was really relaxed, and purred the whole time we were with her.

She is super sweet and I can't wait until she can come home next week!

Laser beam eyes!

She reminds me a lot of my friend Deb's cat Audrey, from Just Cats.

We were sad to have to leave her, but she can come home to us next week after she's had her spay.

Louise is super-sweet and I told all the other cats they had better be nice to her! :)

I wish I could take them all home. Sigh....

    1. It will be very interesting to see her out of that cage! zzoooommm She is FASCINATED by the windows in that cat room, which are high up so she can't really see out of them. But she seems to know there's a whole other world out there!

  4. Audrey's been trying to spell her name all afternoon. She finally settled on Lou. Louise is adorable. I love her already. It couldn't have been easy to walk away from her. I hope her spay is early next week so she's home soon. And here's hoping she heals FAST since she has to be in good form to meet the menagerie.

  7. Lovely. I hate to see cats in cages (prison cells) like that; I'd take the whole lot home, if I could.

    1. They are planning out a fundraising campaign for a new shelter, which will include cat rooms instead of cages! Won't that be great?

    1. She's super-sweet. Of course, Alex (tripod cat) came from that shelter in 2007, and he was all lovey-dovey and happy to be held when we were there. Then we get him home and he's all "What? You can't pick me up! I am NOT into THAT!" Hahahah but he's a great cat.

I know why some people can end up with twelve or more cats LOL! I would just love to get a new kitten every year! It IS so hard to limit ourselves. She's a lovely kitty. I'm quite partial to grey's myself although I do not currently have one. She does look like Audrey, but doesn't have quite the leonine features Audrey has. Still she's a charmer. Nothing like a new kitty to give the other cats a new lease on life! Hope it goes well for you with the introductions.

    1. Elisabeth, unfortunately the shelters here are full of cats too, and many of them are never adopted. So many cats need homes! :(

  17. Oh so sweet! I have to stay away from our shelter; otherwise I would want to adopt them all too. We have three, which is apparently the max we can have in our city.... :(

Welcome Louise - beautiful like Audrey (came here from Deb's) !

    1. I have a hard time going to the shelter and coming home empty-handed. Sometimes we go in to brush and play with the cats.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I can't believe we adopted her without even meeting her first. But I know the shelter worker who described her to me for the ad, and I trusted her judgment! :)
