A red squirrel was tormenting Emily the other day by sitting on top of the cat cage, taunting her. When he saw me at the window, he took off.
Up the tree!
And the taunting continued!
Today my friend Ronna and I are taking our other halves back for another visit and lunch with Deb from Just Cats. I can't wait! She conveniently lives very close to a beekeeping supply place i need to go to!
Rosie is sitting on her perch, as I write, stalking our 3 crows who have come for a morning bite. I love the contraption you have set up for Emily, but I bet she wishes she could find an escape hatch to get to that squirrel:-D
ReplyDeleteShe sure does! In the past, they have been stupid enough to go in the cage while Julius was in there. He is a mighty hunter.

DeleteI have never seen a cat cage like that before, but now I want one for my indoor cats! They would just love it. Hope you have fun with Deb today! So neat that she lives close enough that you guys can visit.
ReplyDeleteIt's very elaborate and the cats go in and out through the basement window, and up a "tower" to the bridge over to the main cages! :) We got it here:

ReplyDeleteThe boys were out with me today while I was gardening. They just love being in the grass.
Julius has nailed several of them in the past, right in the cage. If they are stupid enough to go in there, I think EMily will have her revenge!

Is the cage to protect the wildlife from her, or protect her from the wildlife?
ReplyDeleteBoth, really. We have lots of fishers around here, and they love to eat cats. There are other predators too.
DeleteOh, that squirrel must have had such a good time. But I'm sure, although frustrating, it was a bit of entertainment for Emily.
