In the dead of winter...
...my orchids have started blooming! So nice to see beautiful flowers in January.
And Julius is keeping himself entertained...
"Oh hello. I'm a little busy!"
"I'm willing that Cardinal to come in the house I can make myself a nice bird sandwich!"
"Mmmm.. bird sandwich....mmmmmmmm!"
Meanwhile, Naomi was hanging out in her favourite place.
Gordon got me that John Deere tractor shirt at TSC last week!
Hope you all had a happy weekend.
You nearly have me convinced to adopt a cat. But, not quite. I'll stick with dogs for now.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the orchid that was about to bloom but was taking forever for the flower to open? I was about to give up on it and then Audrey walked in the dining-room as I was taking a photo of it and whacked the bloom right off the stem and sent it flying across the table. I just shrug my shoulders and chock it up to another day with Audrey. I guess I am an out-door plant grower only. I presume Emily leaves yours alone.
ReplyDeleteI just saw one of my orchids is starting a bloom. It is the one that smells like chocolate! Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of orchids blooming too; I imagine I'm in Hawaii--lol! Your kitties are so cute and full of personality, XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh Julius, you have the sweetest face......
ReplyDeleteOrchids blooming in Winter......are they in a hot house or just inside the hosue?
Beautiful bloom, the are so delicate. I remember seeings pots of the most amazing orchid blooms at the Union Square farmers market when I was in New York last year.

I'm a total orchid killer, deader! It's nice to know there are people out there who can make them live and bloom!
ReplyDeleteJulius is super cute ♥
I'm way too stingy with utilities to ever think an orchid will bloom in my house in January! I'll live vicariously through yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful orchid! I fear mine have suffered from dust inhalation.
ReplyDeleteI can't even keep a cactus alive! Admiring your splendid photo of your breathing orchid.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that Naomi was purring you to sleep? You look kinda dreamy-eyed.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and always nice to see your cat's.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Aw, Julius and Naomi are sweethearts! I love that orchid. I could only rarely get mine to bloom again.
ReplyDeleteJulius is gorgeous and so are your orchids!
