Our SD&G OSPCA tripod kitty, Alex

I call this his "maggot" pose! He looks all fat and juicy curled up like this.
For those who don't know, in 2007 Alex was found caught in a leghold trap in Cornwall, Ontario. He was taken to the SD&G OSPCA shelter, where his maggot-infested rear leg was amputated. Six weeks later, we walked into the shelter looking for a dog, and instead came home with Alex!
You made the right choice: I have met Alex and he is a very sweet cat!

ReplyDeleteNo, he has a really fat tail! :) But he's hiding it in this photo. He is a very mellow cat. Hard to ruffle his feathers. I think that after getting stuck in a trap, nothing seems too bad in life.

I wondered the same as Pasha about Alex's tail. I thought for a moment he was a manx. We have a manx and he lays like that, but without the tail :)
ReplyDeleteAlex did a very good job of camouflaging his tail in that pic! :) I was fascinated by Manx cats when I was a kid.
