This summer has been way too busy and I'm getting behind on my blogging! I need a holiday.
Meanwhile, one of the hens is apparently slacking off. Today she laid a wee egg, the smallest ever at 28 grams or 1 ounce. Here it is next to one of the normal ones:

I wonder if it even has a yolk?Their egg production has been down slightly as of late. They are about due for their first moult, at which time egg-laying will cease completely for a while. Buncha slackers!

I was wondering where you have been! And BTW, it was Chicky. She told me she's sick and tired of laying eggs all summer and you're lucky you got that teeny one!
