Rug hooking fun

This is my latest rug hooking creation. If you click on it, you'll get a bigger version. I am really, really happy with it. It was inspired by the goldfish in our pond, most of whom were eaten last year by a barred owl and a family of raccoons! Fortunately, their offspring live on.

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!

  1. Wow!! Absolutely stunning! I can't believe what detail you can create in the color, shape, and movement of these fish. I bow before your greatness.

Natalie, your work is just beautiful! I love the colors you've used in the fish. It makes me want to start hooking myself!

  3. Soooooooo lovely! I would like to file a complaint, however. I have been checking this rug at "The Making of a Rug" on a certain someone's website and have been stuck in a casserole dish of blue dye for forever (but not nearly as long as I thought it would take to make this rug). You are as productive as you are talented!

Or possibly the web has always been updated, and it simply leapt from casserole dish to wall? You just didn't post the part where the magic happens?

  5. I have been remiss in updating the "making of a rug" page, because my husband has been remiss in taking photos of me hooking (God, that sounds kinky!) I do intend to rectify the situation!

    Love,
    The Hooker Without Peers...hahaha!
