Muscovy ducks don't swim as much as other ducks and apparently have less of an oily coating on their feathers. But they do swim! Anyway, I've read you shouldn't let ducklings swim until they are three weeks old, but I bet in nature they're in the water right away. I let 'em in after about two weeks. The other issue is that I have to make sure they can get in and out of whatever water container I give them. They can drown otherwise.
