Feeding time!

What's Tristan looking at?

Why it's KITTY FEEDING TIME! From left to right: Julius, Naomi, Alex and little Emily.

He loves to sit on the stairs to our bedroom and gaze out over the kitchen.

"Don't you have some food for me?"

"Hmmmmmmmmm?"

"I'll just act all nonchalant, like I don't really care. Cats schmats!"

As you can see, the cats are getting along well and enjoying their new raw diet.

"Naomi? Is there any left for me?"

(For the record, I am not responsible for ANY of the wallpaper in this house, and it's all going to come down. But this is the least offensive of it!)

And we got a mini-egg yesterday from one of the young hens....

I think the shell was a bit thin as there was a dent in the side!

Wee!

  1. Poor Tristan - the cats could have given him just a taste!

  2. Was the small egg from the muffs, or one of the other hens?

  3. Tristan has those sad puppy dog eyes like our Max and Max likes to sit our our deck steps just like Tristan is sitting in this photo. I think it's hilarious. The photos are all adorable. Love that itty bitty egg!

  4. These photos are great. That Tristan, what a face. Dogs look so hard done by when they want your food. The second photo could be on a calendar. It speaks volumes. I bet those eggs taste great.
The home for Audrey and Annie fell through. After talking with the woman, for various reasons, it was decided that her home would not be the best for these two cats. She has a male cat that she was afraid would be a problem bringing the mom into the picture (Annie being protective of Audrey) and there was something mentioned about her 14 year old daughter with special needs wanting the kitten so she could dress her up in costumes. That kind of did it for me. I'll just carry on. Deb

    1. THose dogs, they are so good at that "hard done by" look!!

It sounds like it's for the best that the home fell through. I know the right home for them will come along. They need to be together.

  5. My heart is just bleeding for Tristan. He looks so lonely...Probably wondering why he wasn't born a cat, so he could be able to join the company and enjoy the food. Frankly, if you would take my picture right now, you would see the same sad look and longing on my face.

    1. If it makes you feel better, his grandmother gave him a muffin tonight when he visited her on the way home from the vet! :0)

Evolution has bestowed upon dogs THAT look that just melts your heart. Tristan knows his power.

Lovely to see all the cats getting along. Emily fits right in.

  8. Well the small egg answers some of the questions - hens start with small ones and work up to full-size eggs. Now, if you could just find out whether it was the hen or the egg ...

p.s. Give that dog a bone immediately!

    p.p.s. ... and a hug.

    1. Done and done! ANd yes, the hens start out laying all manner of eggs. They start small. You get eggs without yolks, eggs with double yolks, eggs with wrinkly shellls, eggs with no shells... it's always an adventure in the coop!

  9. I almost feel sorry for Tristan that sit´s there and get no food :(
But I guess he got some food later and that Julius, Naomi, Alex and little Emily didn´t get any of that :)

  10. Tristan, that looks like such a good seat to snooopervise everything. You sure a good doggie not to go down and eat the cat's food. I bet you got some foods really soon. Too cute all the cats eating on the table. Love the tiny egg. We really like Tristan too. Great pictures.

    1. "snoopervise", I LOVE that! Tristan is a friend to the kitties and don't worry, he gets yummy food and lots of treats. He was at his grandma's yesterday and got a whole muffin!

  11. What a sweet face he has! So the loyal one that is ecstatic when you simply walk into the house, that protects you, and thinks you're the best person in the world gets fed after that group that ignores you get the early bird special? Poor baby!

    He may need therapy.
