Katie of the Sonoran Desert is released

Well! The kids' book I illustrated was finally released on Amazon.com today! It still says "Spanish edition" even though it's a bilingual English/Spanish edition. Sigh. It's not as if Amazon hasn't been told. And the author and I, both Canadians, are pushing it get it on amazon.ca, and it would be nice to see it on www.chapters.indigo.ca, not to mention in lots of independent Canadian bookstores. And libraries! Shouldn't every library in Canada own a copy?

My first copy is in the mail to me right now. I think I will be camped out at the mailbox until it arrives.

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks!

  2. I will let you know as soon as I have some, Michelle! (I sent you an email about that; if you don't get the email, let me know.)

Am I flogging this book to death or what? :)

  3. Congratulations! And since I'm the librarian at school as well - we should talk about a school visit. Interested?

  4. Am I interested in a school visit on beautiful Manitoulin Island, where I can perhaps see your wool palace?! :) Absolutely!! My little local library wants me to do a book reading this fall, so I am going to get some practice at this, but I have at least worked with kids before!

  5. Congrats!

My one and only book--which I ghostwrote, so my name isn't even on the cover--is currently ranked #6,540,484 on Amazon. Woo-hoo!
